Race rules
Wild country.
Simple rules.
Respect the mountain, the people who open it to us, and every runner sharing the trail.
01Respect the land+
All routes cross private land in the Magaliesberg Biosphere. Leave no trace, take no bottles or cups from Aid Stations, and never litter.
02Stay on route+
Follow the pink reflective markers and Harties-branded signboards. Do not take shortcuts. Yield to faster runners and tell the nearest official if you withdraw.
03Race fairly+
No performance-enhancing substances, outside assistance or pacing except where specifically permitted. Race numbers must remain visible.
04Be trail-ready+
Carry all compulsory equipment for your race. Random gear checks may happen before, during or after the event; missing items may lead to a penalty or disqualification.
05Look after each other+
Show kindness to volunteers and fellow runners. If another runner is in trouble, stop and help. Vehicles may only access designated spectator points.
06Weather & changes+
The event proceeds unless Disaster Management intervenes. Organisers may change the route or format at any time for safety.
